I created the KEV KAJSIAB program for seniors and people with disabilities 3 years ago when I worked for WUCMAA. I left that agency. The program is now being held at the Hmong American United of Green Bay Inc. The name has been changed to Tsev Kaj Siab. It was great to see some of the elders today to talk about the link between chronic diseases and depression.

Slow Down
Life often gets so busy that we forget to slow down and enjoy the little things. I hope you take some time to slow down during this busy Holiday to let your mind and body rest. Be mindful of the little things that may seem insignificant; yet, they are the most significant to our physical and mental health and overall wellbeing.
This morning, like many mornings, I make myself a very simple breakfast, listened to calming music, reflected on the last few days and plan for the next few days. Most importantly to think about who matters and what matters to me.
I found that by slowing down, I am more calmed and relaxed, my mind is clearer, body feels more energized and I can better focus on my day. I also feel happier when I can slow down because it helps me to be mindful of the important things in my life. I am blessed to have this day.

My families and friends call me Viviane. I am the founder and Life Coach of Reawaken Life Coaching and Counseling. My background is in social work and counseling. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in Counseling about 20 years ago.
