“You don't need to follow the same path everyone else takes. Make your own. You will get there eventually.”

That advice comes from Aiden, a Green Bay Preble High School student and Youth Apprentice at Jet Air Group.

School-Based Coach Stacy Hooper shared that, from her very first meeting with Aiden, he knew exactly what he wanted to do—become an airline pilot. Through his Youth Apprenticeship experience, Aiden has taken meaningful steps toward that goal while gaining valuable real-world experience.

Aiden says his favorite part of the job is talking with people who fly every day and learning more about the aviation industry and what it takes to become an airline pilot. He also appreciates the opportunities NEWYA provides, which allow students to leave school early for work, gain hands-on experience, and learn to balance responsibilities beyond the classroom.

By pursuing his passion early, Aiden is building skills, connections, and confidence that will serve him well in the future. His journey is a great example of how Youth Apprenticeship can help students explore career pathways, gain valuable experience, and take meaningful steps toward achieving their goals. ✈️
