Save Fred Team Challenge! See the Ninjas in action!

Last week, the Ninjas were challenged to "Save Fred!" During this cooperative activity, the Ninjas worked in pairs to save a gummy worm named Fred who managed to capsize his boat (plastic cup) and lose his life preserver(peach ring).

Working together, the partnerships had to rescue Fred, turn his boat right side up, and put on his life preserver using only four paperclips– all without hurting Fred, dropping him into the “lake” or touching anything with their hands.

This team challenge worked on teamwork, problem solving, communication, and fine motor skills. I heard, "This is hard!" but right after I saw partnerships figuring out a different way to solve it. Nobody gave up! They kept trying new strategies, and in the end, Fred was rescued!!!🙌

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! The first day is always filled with all the emotions...excitement, nervousness, happiness and wonder. It brought so much joy to be able to start this school year in person together! Here are some First Day of School photos.

The Ninja Writers have been busy decorating their Writer's Notebook with things that may provide a starting place for ideas and drafts that will grow into a great writing piece. It also makes their Writer's Notebook very personal and special to them. Next week they will begin generating ideas for Personal Narratives in their Writer's Notebook, and start drafting seed idea stories!

WELCOME NINJA PARENTS and FAMILIES! I am so excited you liked our class page:) The Aschenbrenner Ninjas are so productive everyday and I am eager to show you what we are up to.
