We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend and colleague Joe Torres. Joe brought his whole heart to everything he did and made everyone around him feel like family. His Oneida name, Tehanati•yaks means "he crosses the village". We are forever grateful that he crossed our.💜

Happy end of the school year!✨
And what a semester it was, from student hangouts, Outdoor Learning with an Elder, Elder Hours, a Madison day trip, and ISC gatherings to WIEA presentations, Oneida Visit Days, Sharing Our Work: An Evening with FNE Scholars, a water cleanup, and film screenings... we packed it ALL in and more.
We are so grateful for our time with you all this semester! To our UWGB graduates celebrating tomorrow: YOU DID IT! 🎓

This is a great opportunity for an end-of-semester visit, and we would love for you all to join us. Join Dr. Jenn Edginton (EdD, First Nations Ed, 2024) for a visit to Heritage Hill State Historical Park to learn about Indigenizing museum spaces. As part of her dissertation research, which focused on transforming museums into allies to Indigenous communities, she created a The Indigenous Ally Museum Practitioner Toolkit. Participants will learn about the toolkit and apply it to conduct an onsite evaluation of the park’s depiction of Native peoples. 💚
