Today at Maplewood, local author Michelle Schaub visited our kindergarten and second grade classes. She shared her books, "Leafy Landmarks," and "A Place for Pollinators," and engaged students in meaningful discussions and experiences connected to their classroom learning. Our scholars enjoyed making real-world connections through literature while exploring the important topics presented in her books.

We are so proud of our scholars who worked together to create this beautiful design!

Due to inclement weather, all Greeley-Evans School District 6 schools, including charter schools, will be CLOSED on Wednesday, May 6th, 2026.

All before and after-school activities, including sports practices and programs, will be canceled. All District 6 preschool programs will also be canceled.

This morning, Maplewood scholars celebrated their classmates participating in the Special Olympics with a send off parade!

Scholars lined the hallways to cheer on and celebrate athletes participating in today's Special Olympic events. Way to show that Mustang pride!

Thank you Kaiser Permanente and Imagination Stage for providing our 2nd and 3rd grade scholars with the opportunity to participate in Empathy Quest! This mental health and resilience program reinforces our social and emotional learning by giving our scholars tools to navigate challenges and advocate for themselves.

The District 6 & Friends Arts Walk is tonight!

Join us and the Greeley Creative District at the 10th Annual District 6 & Friends Arts Walk! 🎨

Time: 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Where: Downtown Greeley - Maplewood Art will be on display at The Midnight Oil Bookstore and the Academy of Natural Therapy

Enjoy art exhibits throughout downtown Greeley showcasing artwork created by hundreds of students attending District 6 schools and charter schools, as well as artwork from UNC students.

Artwork will be on display throughout the month of March, so if you can't make it tonight, stop by anytime during business hours to see the amazing art!
