James Madison STEAM Academy

What a great 2nd week of summer school!!! We had a lot of writing, reading, math and learning about animal habitats. We finished our animal theme week with a petting zoo! We will see you for week 3 next week!!!!

What a great first week of summer school. We had 100 kids dive into math and reading along with our STEAM focus of the week, farming. We learned how to string a fishing pole, and how to cast into the water. We even had some lucky students win a fishing pole of their own. We finished up our week with Culinary in the Classroom visiting and teaching students how to make a corn bean salsa. We can’t wait for our next week when we focus on animals.

5th grade finished our year by demonstrating our reading skills with some readers theater. We are proud of all your hard work this year!!!! 📚✏️😻

JMSA Middle School Summer Strength & Conditioning Camp is coming this June! 💪

Join our JMSA athletics coaches for 3 weeks of workouts, conditioning, agility training, and fun as we help students stay active and strong this summer! Open to middle school students of all athletic ability levels.

Whether your student plays sports or just wants to stay active this summer, this is a great opportunity to build confidence, strength, and healthy habits in a positive environment! If students have questions, they can talk to Coach Marquise, Coach Kirby, Coach Headlee, or Coach Zeus.

What a wonderful day 5th grade had at Elitch Gardens. We had adults commenting on how respectful our 5th graders were at the park. We are very proud of all the things you have accomplished this year and we hope you had a wonderful day!!!! Thank you to all of our chaperones who went with us! It was a perfect day! ☀️🎢 🕶️

Hello JMSA Middle School families!
Just a reminder that our Middle School Glow Party is happening tomorrow after school! We are so excited for a fun night celebrating the end of the school year with our students ✨

A few important reminders:
💛Entry is $2 at the door
🖤All concessions will be $2 each
💛We will have an Esports room available for students who want a break from dancing
🖤Thanks to Mr. Brickey, EVERY middle school student will receive a FREE glow stick!
💛We’ll also have the same DJ from our last dance back again 🎶
🖤Eligibility: All students without Disciplinary Referrals since May 4 are eligible to attend

Students are encouraged to wear white or neon colors for the full glow effect!

We can’t wait for a great evening with our Eagles!

This past Saturday, our JMSA K-Kids Color Run was filled with fun, laughter, and LOTS of color! We are so thankful to all of the students, families, staff members, and volunteers who came out to support the event and help make it such a success.
A special shoutout goes to Mrs. Mueller for all of the time and effort she put into organizing this event for our students and school community. We appreciate everything you do!

We’re excited to celebrate our 8th grade students at this year’s Continuation Ceremony on Wednesday, May 20 from 5:30–7:30 PM in the JMSA gymnasium.
This group holds a special place in JMSA history as the very first 8th grade class ever at our school. We are so proud of all their hard work, growth, and accomplishments as they prepare for high school. Students are encouraged to dress in their Sunday best for the occasion. 💛🦅

Kona Ice is BACK at James Madison STEAM Academy! 🍧
We’re excited to share that Kona Ice has officially been rescheduled for Field Day and will now be available AFTER SCHOOL!

Students, families, and staff are all welcome to stop by and enjoy a sweet treat while supporting our school. A portion of the proceeds will go right back to James Madison STEAM Academy!
