Greeley/Evans Alternative Program - GAP

Dear Greeley Evans Alternative Program (GAP) Families,
I am writing to share an important update regarding student transportation. On Friday, August 8th, District 6 administration was alerted to upcoming route and bus stop changes planned by Greeley Evans Transit (GET), set to take effect August 20th.
District leadership has confirmed that these GET changes will directly impact transit options for several district high schools, including GAP. However, District 6 officials have asked the City of Greeley to reinstate key routes and bus stops, and the City is currently reevaluating the proposed changes. In addition, District 6 Transportation is actively working to identify alternative solutions to ensure our students have reliable ways to get to and from school.
I understand that changes to transportation can disrupt family routines, and I appreciate your patience as we work through this. We will share specific details on affected routes and further updates as soon as they are finalized.

Les escribo para compartir una actualización importante sobre el transporte estudiantil. El viernes 8 de agosto, la administración del Distrito 6 fue alertada sobre los próximos cambios de ruta y paradas de autobús planeados por Greeley Evans Transit (GET), que entrarán en efecto próximamente el 20 de agosto.
El liderazgo del distrito ha confirmado que estos cambios de GET afectarán directamente las opciones de transporte para varias escuelas secundarias del distrito, incluida GAP. GAP will be closed tomorrow.

Due to inclement weather, all Greeley-Evans School District 6 schools, including charter schools, will be CLOSED on Wednesday, May 6th, 2026.

All before and after-school activities, including sports practices and programs, will be canceled. All District 6 preschool programs will also be canceled.

We encourage all families to stay warm and take appropriate precautions during this time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
