What a fantastic group of students! Yesterday, our senior capstone students presented their projects in a roundtable format with alumni, faculty, and fellow students. Great work, seniors! We’re incredibly proud of all you’ve accomplished and excited to celebrate this milestone with you. See you at graduation! 🎓

🌏Senior Highlights! 🌎
Last, but certainly not least, we want to highlight Jayde Cummings! Jayde has done many things during her time at UNC, including being the president of the Earth Science Club! She describes her experience in the department as super welcoming, and comments that her professors prioritizing her education helped! She plans on doing research into climate change after graduation!

🌏Internship Highlights!🌏
Ella Taylor will be a field technician at Gaia Environmental Consulting this summer! Her experience in Field GIS, she says, will be helpful with her in this internship as it has given her more confidence out in the field! Ella encourages future students to look for opportunities, as they are everywhere!

🌎Senior Highlights! 🌏
Our next senior is Lorayne Aguinaldo! In her time here, Lorayne has engaged in many activities, including Student LEAF, Earth Guardians and Haʻaheo O Hawaiʻi Club to name only a few! She has described her time here in the department as eventful and motivating! Lorayne plans on doing a yearlong fellowship on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaii after graduation!

🌏Senior Highlights! 🌎
To end this week, we want to spotlight Joshua Wallace! Joshua is a Geography and GIS major who hopes to work on his geospatial skills so that he can eventually do satellite imagery! Joshua's best memories of college have been all the fieldtrips he has taken with the department! He says he will miss not only those, but the educational part of college as well!

🌎Senior Highlights!🌏
Our next senior is Ella Taylor! Ella is an Environmental Studies and Geography major, who plans on working in a conservation after college! She is grateful for the geography department, as she says it has tailored to her interests and that she has loved getting to know all her professors! Ella says that she will miss living in close range to all of her friends after graduation, as some of her best college memories have been with them!
