We are a college of artists, musicians, actors, designers, dancers and scholars. We love turning passion into professional skills for meaningful careers.

And our season of arts events shares multiple kinds of art with our community every year! UNC College of Performing and Visual Arts is the home of the School of Art, the School of Music and the School of Theatre and Dance. We are an energetic arts community. Our faculty, staff, and students collaborate and advance the practice of the arts in a dynamic and highly supportive environment. The College is devoted to helping students prepare for careers in the arts and has the facilities and advanced technology, the faculty and staff, and the experience to provide serious students with an engaging education in Music, Visual Arts, Theatre and Dance.

Did you know about UNC's Latin Beat Ensemble? Or that you can study Latinx Music at UNC? Come learn all about it next Friday, September 25, at 7:30 p.m. in Campus Commons Performance Hall!

At Celebremos: Three Years of Latinx Music at UNC, you'll hear the amazing UNC Latin Beat Ensemble, awesome UNC faculty and guest artists, and local student music groups Salida Del Sol Academy Mariachi and the Greeley Central High School Latinx Music Club.

It will be a musical journey through Latin America—from mariachi and Cuban rhythms to Brazilian bossa nova, cumbia, and Latin American art song—with a vibrant batucada procession moving through the audience.

UNC Alumni and Friends- Join the UNC Choirs, Orchestra, and Faculty Soloists as a singer in a performance of the spectacular Verdi Requiem! Our guest conductor for this event is Maestra Chloe Dufresne.

This performance is part of our UNC Bailey Choral Festival and is presented in memory of the late Dr. Don Bailey, who, with his wife Karen, has been our festival's primary benefactor for several decades.

School of Art and Design faculty Matt McHugh is exhibiting his artwork at Colorado State University in the Curfman Gallery over the next two months. In this solo show entitled Under the Sun, McHugh reflects on the vastness of time and transience of human life. He recontextualizes Paleolithic cave art and uses imagery of celestial bodies to explore the connectedness of humanity while referencing his individual place within it.

UNC School of Theatre Arts & Dance alum Oscar Whitney, Jr. is on the cast of the North American Tour of the musical Hamilton! Our Musical Theatre professor Ryan Driscoll went to Oklahoma City last week to support him for the opening of the tour.
