🎓✨ Our high school students recently had the opportunity to experience college life firsthand during an overnight visit to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs!

Students toured campus, attended presentations about academic programs and student resources, stayed in residence halls, enjoyed meals on campus, and explored all that college life has to offer. The trip also included time to have fun and build connections through activities at the recreation center, local parks, a stop for ice cream, and an unforgettable visit to Garden of the Gods before heading home.

Experiences like these help students envision their future and better understand the opportunities available to them after high school. By stepping onto a college campus and experiencing student life firsthand, they can begin to see themselves pursuing higher education and reaching new goals.

🌞 Week 1 of D6 Summer Programming is off to an incredible start!

Our middle school students spent the week exploring college campuses, building new skills, and discovering opportunities for their future.

🏗️ Day 1 at CSU introduced students to Construction Management and the CSU Access Center. Students worked through real-world social, economic, and environmental challenges, collaborating to develop creative solutions.

🎓 Day 2 at UNC featured a campus tour and admissions presentation, helping students envision themselves in higher education. They also rotated through hands-on activities including drone flying, mapping activities that challenged them to identify important locations throughout their community and discuss why understanding these areas matters, and powerful conversations about self-identity and why every student's story matters.

🤝 Day 3 took students to CU Boulder for a low ropes course experience where teamwork, communication, and leadership were put into action through engaging team-building challenges.

These experiences help broaden our students' horizons by exposing them to new career pathways, college environments, and opportunities they may not have otherwise encountered. We are excited to see their confidence and curiosity continue to grow throughout the summer!

Our End of Year Incentive Workshops were such a fun way to celebrate an incredible school year filled with growth, hard work, achievements, and unforgettable memories. 🎉🙌

☀️🎉 Summer learning is in full swing for Platte Valley Middle School students! These Summer Program field trips gave students hands-on experiences, new friendships, and exciting opportunities to explore future careers and college life. 🚍📚

🛠️ Day 1: Students visited Colorado State University’s Construction Management program and toured the active construction site of the NEW Platte Valley Middle School! They learned about careers in construction management and connected with professionals from a construction company. 👷🏽‍♀️🏗️

🎭 Day 2: At the University of Northern Colorado, students explored the Theater and Arts Department through theater games, creative activities, and making pinch pots! They also discovered the many career opportunities in theater beyond acting. 🎨🎬

🌲 Day 3: Students wrapped up the week at the University of Colorado Boulder low ropes course, building perseverance, teamwork, and confidence through fun challenges and activities together. 💪🤝

☀️ Dream Team Summer Office Hours Announcement ☀️

Beginning Monday, June 1, our office hours will change for the summer season. Throughout July, Dream Team staff will be available Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 📚✨

While the school year may have ended, our commitment to supporting students and families continues all summer long. We are here to provide guidance, resources, encouragement, and assistance whenever needed.

We are grateful for the continued support of our families, schools, and community partners, and we are already looking forward to another exciting school year ahead! 💙
