This summer, we’re proud to spotlight an incredible OER champion — Kiki Gilderhus!

Kiki reminds us that the philosophy of Open Educational Resources is rooted in a powerful belief: knowledge is a public good. Education should not be limited by cost or access. OER works to remove barriers and make high-quality learning materials freely available to everyone.

Her commitment reflects what OER is truly about — equity, accessibility, and opportunity for all learners. 💛

Join us in celebrating leaders who are helping reshape education for the better.

While the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights continues to this day, this month is dedicated to recognizing the challenges of the past and embracing a hopeful outlook for the future.

Three big benefits of OER (Open Educational Resources) that truly make a difference:

#1 - Accessible, adaptable materials for all learners. No waiting for shipping. No, “I’ll get the book next week.” Every student has the material on the first day of class.

#2 - Flexibility & Customization Faculty can adapt, remix, and update content to fit their course goals and student needs. Learning becomes more relevant, current, and inclusive.
