We also want to give a big shout-out to our Junior Board members, both new and returning, for coming out to help before and during the School Kickoff Community Celebration!

They spent the day before the event helping prepare backpacks, then returned on event day to volunteer alongside other school organizations to help make the celebration a success for everyone who attended.

Meet Lily, a student from Greeley Central.

Lily loves music, but she admits she had been losing her connection to it. She tried instrument after instrument, searching for something that truly sparked her interest, but nothing quite clicked.

Her journey back to music began when she was encouraged to play the bass clarinet. The instrument she received, however, wasn’t in great shape.
“When I first picked up that old, cracked bass clarinet, it was far from perfect. It had leaks. It struggled to hit high notes.”

Learning to play it wasn’t easy. Lily pushed through frustration and kept practicing, but the instrument itself held her back. At times, she even considered giving up or switching instruments. Still, as she describes it, something kept pulling her back to the clarinet.

Not long after, she received some exciting news: the Success Foundation had provided two new bass clarinets. Lily rushed to the band room to see them.

“When I assembled it… I felt something shift. It wasn’t just about the instrument anymore. It was about potential. For the first time, I could clearly hear what I was capable of. The limits I thought I had weren’t my limits at all, they were the older instruments.”

Lily’s story is just one example of impact. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, 355 new instruments have made their way into classrooms, helping students like Lily rediscover their passion and continue their musical journey.

Another program we’ve thoroughly enjoyed seeing grow in Greeley-Evans District 6 is our internship program. We are proud to be supporting and helping the expanding internship opportunities, our community is making hands-on career exploration more accessible.

We love visiting our friends at the Career and Technical Education Center. Those students and teachers are always up to something fun. We’re proud to support student kits for CTE programs in welding, cosmetology, and electrical construction, to make career exploration more accessible!
