The Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County opened its doors in Greeley, CO in 1964, serving a few young men out of an old tire shop.

Founded in 1964, and with 6 sites across Weld County, we serve over 400 youth every day with a mission to inspire & enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. At the time it provided a safe place for young men to go and learn basic skills, such as how to change the oil in a car and clean a carburetor. To

Our teens had an incredible behind-the-scenes experience at the Swire Coca-Cola facility in Johnstown!

During their visit, they explored how a large-scale operation runs—from warehouse logistics to daily workflows—and heard directly from professionals about their career journeys. One powerful takeaway? The value of growth over time and how staying committed to a career path can open doors to leadership and long-term success.

Experiences like this help our Club teens build confidence, expand their vision for the future, and see what’s possible when they stay curious and committed to their goals. 💡

A huge thank you to our partners at Swire Coca-Cola for investing in our youth and creating meaningful, real-world learning opportunities that inspire Great Futures.

This week, our team hit the road Accelerating Impact—preparing to create safe, engaging spaces for every Club member.

We focused on trauma-informed care, building trusted relationships, and creating a strong sense of belonging. Staff practiced classroom management strategies, emergency preparedness, and using their voice to bring solutions and support one another, and our members.

We can’t wait to kick off summer next week! See ya there! 🌟

While in Texas for the Youth of the Year Regional Competition, Jesse had the opportunity to visit the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza—an impactful space that explores the life, leadership, and legacy of President John F. Kennedy and the history of the 1960s.

Through experiences like this, Jesse is gaining new perspectives and continuing to grow as a thoughtful and engaged leader. He is also building meaningful connections with fellow Youth of the Year candidates from across the region—creating relationships rooted in shared experiences, leadership, and inspiration.

We are so proud to see him representing our Clubs with curiosity, confidence, and heart. 💙
