As an OER grantee, our economics faculty member Professor Park wrapped up the month of May by attending the Colorado OER Conference this weekend at Arapahoe Community College 📚🎓 OER (Open Educational Resources) helps make higher education more affordable, accessible, and equitable for students by reducing the cost of textbooks and course materials. Since adopting OER in his economics courses, he has seen tremendous benefits for students at University of Northern Colorado, UNC from lowering financial barriers to improving access to learning resources from day one 👏📖 It was inspiring to connect with educators across Colorado who are passionate about student success, innovation in teaching, and expanding educational opportunities for all learners

In our capstone course for senior Economics students—ECON 452: Econometrics students developed full research papers and presented their work today 🎤📈 From choosing their own research questions, collecting data, to running regressions and analyzing results… This is real economics in action!
