Last week, our NSHA Elementary and Middle School mock trial teams headed to the Nassau County courthouse for their first competitions of the season alongside 30 participating schools. ⚖️👏
From opening statements to cross examinations, our students impressed with their confidence, preparation, teamwork, and critical thinking as they presented their case before the judge and earned a ruling in their favor! An incredible start to the season and a proud moment for our future attorneys, leaders, and public speakers. 🏛️💼

Last night, our NSHA community came together to celebrate the incredible educators who give so much of themselves to our students each and every day.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing for creating such a beautiful and meaningful Teacher Appreciation Dinner. One of the most special parts of the night was the video tribute featuring messages from our adorable NSHA students. Our teachers absolutely loved hearing the heartfelt words and appreciation shared by the families they impact every day. It was a powerful reminder of the lasting connections built inside our classrooms and throughout the NSHA community.
Thank you to everyone who contributed messages, helped organize the evening, and made our teachers feel so celebrated. NSHA is stronger because of the extraordinary educators who fill our halls with passion, dedication, and heart. And a very special thank you to Rivkale and Loni for everything you have done this year.

As part of their Melachim Alef unit on the Beit Hamikdash, our 8th graders brought learning to life by designing and creating their very own shuls.

After learning about the Beit Hamikdash and the idea of a mikdash me’at, a miniature sanctuary, students explored how our batei knesset today continue to carry the meaning, purpose, and holiness of the Mikdash.

Each project reflected creativity, thoughtfulness, and a deeper connection to the important role a shul plays in Jewish life. We are so proud of the vision and effort our students put into their work!

We were deeply moved to hear from Ari Rosenfeld, who shared the powerful and heartbreaking story of his son, Nathan, who was killed in combat in Gaza on June 29. In an act of extraordinary courage and selflessness, Nathan gave his life when he absorbed the blast of a gr***de to protect his fellow soldiers.

Through pain and pride, Mr. Rosenfeld spoke about Nathan’s character, his sense of responsibility, and his unwavering commitment to others. His story is one of heroism, sacrifice, and the highest form of אהבת ישראל—placing the lives of others before one’s own.

Nathan’s bravery will continue to inspire all of us to live with greater purpose, unity, and strength. May his memory always be a blessing.

Today we held a meaningful Bar & Bat Mitzvah program for our 7th and 8th graders!

Our boys had the privilege of learning with Rabbi Binyomin Kreiser from Kesheras Tefillin, participating in a hands-on tefillin workshop that deepened their understanding of the halachot and proper placement as they prepare for this important mitzvah.

Our girls had the privilege of hearing from Rebbetzin Amit Yaghoubi, who spoke about the beauty and importance of tzniut, and how it shapes personal growth and the journey toward becoming a confident, thoughtful Jewish woman.

We are so proud of our students as they continue to grow in their לימוד and middot, taking meaningful steps on their Jewish journey. ✨

Candy, confidence, and big dreams 💫🍬 Today was our 5th grade girls’ Lunch Bunch end-of-year celebration—and it was the perfect mix of fun and meaningful moments. The girls whipped up a sweet “candy salad” 🍭 while reflecting on an incredible year together, sharing laughs, memories, and everything in between. But beyond the treats, there were real conversations—about stepping into middle school, the excitement, the nerves, and all the unknowns ahead. To top it off, the girls created beautiful vision boards, dreaming about who they want to be, the friendships they hope to build, and the goals they’re setting for the future. ✨

Today was an incredible Yom Ha’atzmaut celebration at NSHAMS! 🇮🇱💙🤍

We began the day with a beautiful musical Hallel, setting the tone with gratitude and joy. From there, our middle school students went on an exciting “Tour of Israel,” traveling from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and from the North to the South, learning about Israeli culture, landmarks, and the meaning behind each special place.

Later, we headed to the high school for an unforgettable concert sponsored by , followed by a delicious BBQ lunch! 🎶🔥

To end the day, we enjoyed an amazing Israeli shuk-style show and carnival with our incredible Bnot Sherut—complete with strawberry banana and mango smoothies, homemade hummus, pickles, olives, friendship bracelet making, games of nakot, and a photo booth featuring famous figures throughout Jewish history! 📸✨

A day full of pride, unity, and simcha celebrating our beautiful homeland!
