Kashmir World Foundation Kashmir World Foundation (KwF) develops cutting-edge autonomous systems for global wildlife conservation and counter-poaching initiatives. Intern with us! 🌍🐾

Kashmir World Foundation (KwF) is a nonprofit conservation and technology organization founded in 2008 and now based in Greenwood. KwF develops and deploys advanced technologies to protect endangered species, combat wildlife trafficking, and strengthen ecosystem resilience worldwide. Our work integrates art, science, and engineering to create practical, field-ready solutions for conservation. We design and implement real-world projects that combine artificial intelligence, bioacoustics, robotics, unmanned aerial systems, and sensor networks to detect threats such as poaching and illegal logging while monitoring biodiversity and ecosystem health. KwF leads hands-on workshops and global innovation challenges that train students, researchers, and conservation partners in drone design, AI-driven wildlife monitoring, embedded systems, and autonomous technologies. These programs equip participants with the technical skills needed to build mission-focused systems that directly support wildlife protection efforts. Kashmir Robotics, the science and wildlife security division of KwF, advances surveillance platforms, autonomous aircraft, ground sensors, and AI-based acoustic monitoring systems. In 2010, KwF expanded the Technology Assisted Counter Poaching (TACP) Network—originally founded in 1991—to provide engineering expertise and technical guidance to organizations protecting endangered species around the world. Through collaborative field expeditions, research initiatives, educational programs, and conservation technology deployments, Kashmir World Foundation works to safeguard wildlife, empower the next generation of innovators, and deliver measurable impact for endangered species and the ecosystems they depend on.

Expeditions are where the work gets real.

Students build the dataset, use the tools, and carry their knowledge and skills home. Sponsoring a student can cover a place on a field team, travel, or the tools a student needs to turn a recording into something a ranger can use.

KwF is 100% nonprofit. Link in bio to sponsor a student!

Reminder: Horsemanship 101, a free equine learning clinic with UA Extension’s Dr. Mark Russell, is Monday, October 19, 6–8 p.m. at Montevia Sky Ranch in Greenwood, Arkansas!

Horses speak without words. Learning to read them teaches observation, patience, and leadership built on trust instead of force. No experience needed. No horse required. Just bring your curiosity.

Come learn how to see, understand, and communicate with horses in a whole new way.

RSVP through Kashmir World Foundation. Link in bio! 🐎

Growing Beyond Earth NASA Space Crop Research Lab
A 6-week citizen-science lab at Montevia Sky Ranch!
Growing Beyond Earth is a classroom research project led by Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and designed to advance NASA research on growing plants in space.

Students run plant experiments in a habitat modeled on Veggie, the vegetable production system used on the International Space Station.

Across the country, the project has put edible-plant trials in the hands of middle and high school students. This fall, that work comes to KwF headquarters.

Students ages 14–18 meet weekly, learn the science, and contribute growth data that supports research on food for long-duration missions.

WHEN

This week our Director of Marketing and Creative Strategy Clarke Betz is sitting down with Jordan Triolo, Team Lead for Stability and Control on Team Pegasus, to talk about Eagle Ray— KwF’s blended-wing aircraft built to watch the high Himalayas and help us protect snow leopards.

Team Pegasus is where aerospace engineering meets conservation. Eagle Ray is designed for long endurance, thin air, hard terrain, and a mission that only matters if it serves the animals on the ground.

Jordan is one of the brilliant hearts and minds volunteering at Kashmir World Foundation— where we design the future of wildlife protection from computers, labs, and on the ground all around the world.

This series is about our team leads and the incredible work they do.

Meet the builder. Meet the aircraft. Meet the reason it flies.

Ghosts of Montevia Sky! 👻 ⛰️

October 23 · 7:00 PM · KWF headquarters at Montevia Sky Ranch.

This is not a haunted corn maze. It is a night walk through a real timeline— and a chance to put the Lantern Keeper’s journal back together before moonrise. 🏮 📔 🌙

Choose your side. Come dressed. Come willing to walk the mountain.

A glimpse into the future of wildlife conservation! Here at Kashmir World Foundation we use technology to turn sound and data into protection for endangered species by teaching students engineering, real world problem-solving skills, and how to listen to the wild by interacting with different species. Head to the link in our bio to find out more about how you can get involved in the future of wildlife conservation.
