Teaching was great, but it was very limiting.

I've been tutoring for a lot longer than I've been teaching, and let me tell you that it's very rewarding! With tutoring, time isn't an issue, and we can work together to make math easier for the individual.

Math isn't learned just by watching someone do the math. It's learned by doing the math yourself!

I love walking through problems with students to find out how they approach the problem. Everyone has a different brain, and thus different ways of approaching math. This is the best way to make sure that I know how to teach each individual.

There are two cases when math gets boring:

1. When you're not being challenged enough

2. When you aren't understanding the concept

Let's be honest, math is hard! Most people don't have a problem with #1, but #2 is pretty universal!

When the concepts are made easy to understand, math becomes much more pleasant. That's why I started tutoring! I want to make math easy for your brain to understand!

"You just can't see it! Math is represented by ink on a page! Sure you could say there's some order to this bacteria growing, but how can we know that that is an exponential equation? I'm not convinced that there are higher powers at work here."
