Demco’s Book Doctor workshop is intended to give participants training on book care, protection, and repair to keep your collection in circulation longer. This workshop will provide a hands-on experience in which participants will get ideas for protecting books ahead of circulation and become familiar with several types of repairs through tried-and-true techniques. Workshops commonly include basic page repairs, tip-ins, hinge and spine repair, book jacket and laminate application, and spine reinforcement.

Prominent creators in the children's literature and YA world have signed a letter asking National Ambassador for Young People's Literature sponsors the Library of Congress and Every Child a Reader to "publicly and immediately address the harm caused by this statement and work to minimize the damage already done."
