Great Bend Seventh-Day Adventist School

Great Bend Seventh-Day Adventist School Over 100 students have attended the school throughout these years. Throughout the years it has been a school of great cultural diversity.

These students came from not only Great Bend, but as far west as Nekoma, north to Russell, east to Ellinwood, northeast to Holyrood and southwest to Larned. Some years there were more multicultural students than English students. There have been as many as 21 students and as few as 5 students. In 1989 8th Grader, Jack Staddon, won the first National Geography Bee sponsored by National Geographic

Society and the school received national recognition for having a national winner out of a school of only 5 students. In 2001 the Spanish SDA Church in Great Bend joined the Great Bend SDA School Constituency which helped to also provide Christian education for the children from the Spanish SDA Church

Besides the Witinessing projects in the community throughout the years the school is also well known for the Indian River Florida citrus fruit sales each year. Teachers were Doris Reile- 1984 - 1999
