Our 8th Grade portfolio review is a timeless tradition, where each graduating student presents a collection of their work from their Waldorf careers! 💙💛 Some of them have been with BWS since Early Childhood, and some have only joined us in the last few years. However long our students have been here - their work is incredible and a perfect representation of our Waldorf curriculum. Thank you, class of 2026! 🎓

Great Barrington: Waldorf School names first grade teacher Berkshire Waldorf School has named Sophie Camardo its first-grade teacher for 2026-27 and will host a “Meet the First Grade Teacher” event at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 30.

This Saturday, May 30, from 10:30–11:30 AM, Ms. Camardo will join BWS administrators and First Grade subject teachers for a warm and informative Open House gathering. Together, we’ll explore the First Grade curriculum, the foundations of Waldorf Education, and questions around parent and child readiness for this important transition.

The ideal candidate will embody the principles and practices of Waldorf education, bringing a deep understanding of child development, anthroposophy, and collaborative faculty culture.

As a key member of School Leadership, the Pedagogical Director fosters excellence in teaching and learning, advances curricular and pedagogical development, and champions diversity, inclusivity, and developmental responsiveness. The role serves as both supervisor and mentor to faculty, while partnering with students, families, colleagues, and the Board of Trustees to support the school’s mission and long-term growth.
