📚✨ A Feast of Reading Awaits!

Our 7th Grade Language Arts students are diving into a delicious literary experience during a Book Tasting in the Media Center! Through engaging book trailers and captivating book talks, students are exploring a variety of genres, discovering new authors, and identifying titles that spark their curiosity.

Facilitated by our School Library Media Specialist, Mrs. Bonaby, this student-centered experience encourages readers to broaden their horizons, make meaningful connections with literature, and take ownership of their reading journeys. As students explore stories, perspectives, and possibilities, they are building a lifelong love of reading, one book at a time.

At Couch Middle School, our Rams are learning that every great reader starts with a book that captures their imagination. 📖❤️

📚🌎 Exploring South America Through Research! 🌎📚

Students at Couch Middle School are building their research skills and expanding their global knowledge through an engaging Hispanic Heritage Month learning experience. In Ms. Ana Morales' Spanish class, students are using the GCPS CultureGrams Database to investigate the flags, countries, and cultures of South America while strengthening their information literacy skills under the guidance of School Library Media Specialist Ms. Bonaby.

CultureGrams provides students with reliable, age-appropriate resources that explore each country's geography, history, people, traditions, lifestyle, society, and government. Students also have access to maps, photographs, statistics, biographies, and even representative recipes that help bring cultures and communities to life.

Through meaningful research and cultural exploration, students are developing a deeper appreciation for the rich diversity, heritage, and contributions of Hispanic and Latin American countries. At Couch Middle School, learning extends beyond the classroom as students grow into informed, curious, and globally minded citizens. 🌟📖💻

💛 Today we’re celebrating the people who keep our school shining!

Our custodians do SO much more than clean our building. They work behind the scenes every single day to make sure our students and staff have a safe, clean, and welcoming place to learn, work, and grow.

We appreciate their hard work, dedication, and all the little things they do that often go unnoticed. Today, we make sure they know just how much they mean to our school community!

Happy Custodian Appreciation Day! 🧽✨ We appreciate YOU!
