Fall Break is next week! GCPS schools will be closed for Fall Break from Monday, October 12, through Friday, October 16. We hope our students and school staff have a safe and relaxing break. We look forward to welcoming students and staff members back to learning when classes resume on Monday, October 19.

Student Mini-Walk for Cancer Awareness!

Students and families can support this event by decorating the attached brown bag and returning it to school with a $1 donation inside. All bags will be placed around the walking track in honor or memory of those who have fought against cancer.

Event Dates:
✅ Mon. 10/5 Students bring home a brown bag to decorate with messages of hope or names of loved ones who have fought cancer.
✅ Thurs. 10/22 Last day to turn in decorated bags along with $1 donation.
✅ Fri. 10/23 All students will walk in the mini-relay during their Specials classes. (Wear your sneakers!)

Thank you for supporting our Relay for Life Team’s fight against cancer! All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

Due to inclement weather expected this Saturday, the GCPS Transportation Fall Festival will be moved to Saturday, November 7th. The location (Starling ES) and time (10 am - 3 pm) will remain the same.

Gwinnett County Public Schools Transportation proudly presents The Southeast Sector's 4th Annual Relay For Life Fall Festival!
Come join us on Saturday, November 7th at Starling ES from 10 AM – 3 PM. This will be a day of fall fun with carnival games, face painting, hayrides, cake walk, bounce house, popcorn, cotton candy, boiled peanuts, food trucks and so much more! All family and friends are invited. All proceeds raised will go to the American Cancer Society. Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a week full of pride, culture, and fun! Next week, students are invited to participate in the following theme days:

🎵 Monday, October 5 – Music Monday - Wear Western wear, a Salsa outfit, or your favorite artist’s gear!
Represent Tejano and broader Latin rhythms.

👗 Tuesday, October 6 – Traditional Tuesday - Wear traditional clothing from any Latin American country.
Celebrate your nationality’s heritage!

⚽ Wednesday, October 7 – Jersey Day - Wear a soccer, baseball, or any sports team jersey that represents your nationality.

🌺 Thursday, October 8 – Tropical Thursday - Wear bright colors and floral prints to represent the lush rainforests of Latin America.

🏳️ Friday, October 9 – Flag Friday - Show your pride! Wear the colors of your family’s or nationality’s flag.

We encourage all students and staff to participate as we honor the traditions, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latin American communities throughout the week.
