BRYAN “LIL B” BLEDSOE’S BUDDY BENCH IS FULLY FUNDED!

I’m happy to share that we have received enough contributions to cover the Green Tree Plastics- ABC Partnership Buddy Bench and memorial plaque in honor of 16-year-old Bryan “Lil B” Franklin Bledsoe II at East Carter High School in Grayson, Kentucky!

What started with an email to Principal Cory Jones has turned into another opportunity to honor a young life while encouraging kindness, friendship, & compassion among students.

On November 11th, I’ll head to Evansville, Indiana, to pick up Bryan’s Buddy Bench before traveling to Grayson, Kentucky.

I want to offer a very special thank you to the individuals who stepped forward to make this possible:

Because of your generosity, students at East Carter High School will have a special place to remember Bryan, sit together, encourage one another, & extend friendship to someone who may be having a difficult day.

This will be our seventh Buddy Bench, honoring nine young lives, and our first in Kentucky.

I didn’t know Bryan personally, but I know his life mattered. I know there are people who love him, miss him, & wish they could have more time with him.

We can’t change what has happened, but we can choose what we do moving forward. My hope is that every student who sits on Bryan’s bench will be reminded that kindness matters, friendship matters, & every life matters.

Thank you to Principal Jones and the East Carter High School community for welcoming this opportunity. Thank you to my friends at Green Tree Plastics and Signarama for helping us continue this effort.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who helped make this memorial possible.

Bryan “Lil B” Franklin Bledsoe II will be remembered.
