CLC PACE is hosting a musical theater workshop on Thursday April 18th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Jack Benny Center for the Arts in Waukegan!
This free, all ages Workshop series will consist of three sessions in singing, acting and dance. Join us to experience the power of PACE!

On April 18th @ 7:00pm-8:30pm in room A013 on the Grayslake Campus, contributors to CLC's award-winning literary magazine, "Willow Review," will read from their original poetry and prose. You can even pick up a copy on the 51st issue! Even better, this event is FREE!!
The 2024 Featured Illinois Author is Michael (M. C.) Rydel, who has published poems in a variety of journals and magazines, including "Balcony Magazine," "Batayan," "Caravel," "CC & D," "Chanterelle's Notebook," "Down in the Dirt," Lucky Star," Shadowboxing," Twisted Vine," and the "Oyez Review." Rydel also adopted the stage name of M. C. Rydel to perform spoken word poetry in many venues in Chicago, Grand Rapids, Flagstaff, Sedona, New York City, and Paris, France. In 2022, Atmosphere Press published Rydel's first collection of poetry title "Almost a Memoir." He is currently working on a poetry chapbook and a novella.

AY's Battery Tour, with over 900 performances worldwide, redefines live music by exclusively using renewable energy. It goes beyond entertainment, integrating music with education, community upliftment, and humanitarian efforts. As a UN Youth leader for SDGs, AY is currently spearheading "Project 17," a Global Goals album, collaborating with leading artists produce a song for each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Adriana Durant is an improviser, choreographer, and educator. She has a MFA in Choreography from The Ohio State University, a BFA in Performance from Emerson College in Boston, and a k-12 certificate in dance from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She has worked as a professor, guest, and teaching artist with numerous universities, dance companies, and k-12 schools throughout the US. Adriana loves to play and create with students of every age. She is currently in her tenth year as the Upper School Dance teacher at the Latin School of Chicago.

Join Lamaiya Lancaster, CLC Dance Faculty and PACE Program Coordinator, for this workshop exploring the evolution of Hip-Hop as both a dance form and a cultural movement. This workshop will incorporate a movement class, lecture, and performance by Illusion Fusion Hip-Hop Dance Crew.
