Join us for the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, October 22! We are opening our doors for the community to see how CLC is transforming a former big-box building to meet the current and future needs of Lake County manufacturing. If you haven’t had an opportunity to visit the ATC, this is the perfect time to come explore our new state-of-the-art facility!

The all-ages event will include exciting demonstrations, hands-on activities and grab & go food prepared by a class of CLC culinary students. Staff and faculty will be on hand to discuss programs offered at the ATC, as well as other CLC services and events. Stop by anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to participate in the celebration at the ATC (7735 Grand Avenue, Gurnee).

This Event is designed to provide students and job seekers an exploratory view of the various pathways to Hospitality and Culinary Careers. Current students and alumni are invited to participate in this event. Interact with representatives and discuss transitioning your academic goals to employment.

On October 4th, 2022, Dan Ortego, Apprenticeship Manager visited Grayslake Community High School District 127. He conducted a presentation to approximately 60 students at both - Grayslake North HS and Grayslake Central HS - interested in Manufacturing Programs such as HVAC, Industrial Technology, Precision Machining Technology and Electrical Engineering Technology. The students showed interest in both the Apprenticeship Awareness Program for high school students that includes Employer site visits and Shadow days at CLC and in becoming an apprentice after their graduation. With the employer paying for the tuition, books and fees, Apprenticeship is the way to graduate debt free and gain skills for a trade or career path. Explaining the benefits of being an apprentice can help them decide if it is the option that works for them.

New International Students stopped by today at CJPC while they were playing Scavenger Hunt.

Last week, ABBOTT company presented their job opportunities for Apprentices. We had 14 students who attended and expressed their interest in becoming apprentices.
