Warming Shelter Open February 17th - 20th

Avon Township's Emergency Warming Shelter is open to all residents of Lake County. The more we share on social media, the greater the awareness of our warming shelter, and you never know who may need it.
Avon Township will serve as a 24-hour warming center from Monday, February 17th, through Thursday morning, February 20th. We are located at 433 East Washington Street, Round Lake Park.

We will be monitoring the weather closely. Please follow Avon Township and Avon Township Supervisor Michele Bauman for updates on our warming shelter. Please feel free to call 847- 514- 7087 with any questions.

Pfizer dose 1, Pfizer dose 2, or J & J! (Pfizer is the only vaccine currently approved for 12 and over)

Come to the vaccination clinic at Grayslake North High School on Saturday, August 28 from 10am to 2 pm. The Pfizer vaccine has been fully approved by the FDA for persons 16 and up, and for emergency use for 12 and up.

Grayslake High School District 127 is welcoming students for 5 days of in-person learning starting April 19. If you want to change your student to in-person learning from Group C 100% remote, or vice-versa, please fill out the form sent on 3/17 ow.ly/AiR650E3cs0

Due to the inclement weather, tomorrow, Tuesday February 16 will be a remote learning day. Please follow the “Hybrid A” schedule. Athletics and activities will proceed after school as planned.

Due to the expected inclement weather starting this evening, we will implement a remote learning day tomorrow, Tuesday January 26. All students and staff should stay home and engage in instruction remotely.

Although we will be remote, please utilize the Hybrid “A” schedule. Period 1 through 4 starts at 8:00 am, and finishes at 12:21. Live synchronous support for periods 1 through 4 starts at 1:30.

While we will start the day remotely, athletic activities will occur as scheduled tomorrow afternoon, as we anticipate the driving conditions to have improved by the afternoon.
