CLC automotive students got the chance to visit Harley Davidson’s powertrain operations facility and the Harley Davidson museum this past week.

Students learned about the Milwaukee-Eight engine, the engineering process and the precision manufacturing that goes into producing these powertrains. At the museum, students looked back on the history of the brand and how it has influenced motorcycle culture today.

Today CLC Automotive students had the incredible opportunity to visit Kubota Engine America in Lincolnshire for a hands-on learning experience. Students participated in specialized engine training, explored career pathways within the industry, and put their knowledge to the test with a diesel engine part identification activity. The visit also included a guided plant tour, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at Kubota’s engine testing process, followed by a great lunch and time to connect with Kubota professionals.

Thank you to Kubota Engine America for welcoming our students and supporting the next generation of technicians!

A couple of weeks ago at SEMA, our CLC Automotive students got the chance to snap a photo with Sung Kang—and they couldn’t have been more excited!
Sung’s passion for cars and the automotive community has made him an inspiration to young builders everywhere, so meeting him in person was a huge highlight of the trip.
From exploring incredible builds to connecting with industry icons, moments like this remind our students why they love what they do and where their skills can take them.
Such an unforgettable experience at SEMA!

CLC Automotive was proud to participate in CLC’s 12th Annual STEM for Girls event!

This incredible day brought together bright, curious young women ready to explore the world of automotive technology and engineering.

They got hands-on experience as they:
-Ran vehicles on the dyno
-Disassembled engines to understand how power is created
-Explored electric vehicle systems, learning how EV technology is shaping the future

We’re committed to inspiring the next generation of technicians and innovators—and events like this make all the difference.

After 15 Years… its’s ALIVE! 💚💨The green drag truck that sat silent for over a decade is finally roaring to life—and it’s all thanks to Joe Foellmer and the efforts of the CLC automotive club. What started as a long-forgotten project, collecting dust and rust, has been transformed into machine built to tear up the strip. Huge shoutout to Joe for leading the charge with skill and determination. And to every single club member who turned a wrench, solved a problem, or believed it could be done. 💪🔥
