GHS honored senior golfer Sophie Lagattuta with a walkthrough yesterday as she prepared to leave for the state finals.
Sophie earned her way to states by taking first place at regionals on October 5 (the first regional title for a girls golfer in school history).
Of the golf team's 10 18-hole matches this year she placed in the top ten in nine of them. Her best score of the year was an 82, securing the school’s second lowest ever 18-hole score.

Members of the GHS Players stage crew took a field trip yesterday to the Prismatic Expo at Fantasee Integration in Detroit. The expo showcases over 30 leaders, representatives, and companies in the fields of theater and stage equipment. These students were able to learn about and use the latest equipment in lighting, sound, safety equipment, rigging, and more. A special thanks to the Stuart Rush and Meteor companies for helping cover some of the transportation costs.
