This Foundation Friday, we are proud to highlight Jenna Nowicki, recipient of the Rasmus & Margrethe Hanson Endowed Scholarship for the Fall 2026 semester.
Jenna is currently enrolled in Kirtland Community College's ADN to BSN 3+1 program with Saginaw Valley State University. She chose this path because it offers exceptional clinical preparation while allowing her to pursue her degree close to home.
Her journey into healthcare began during her sophomore year of high school, but her true calling clicked during a visit to see a friend in the labor and delivery unit after the birth of her daughter. Inspired by the supportive environment, Jenna set her sights on becoming a labor and delivery nurse to guide mothers through both the challenging and beautiful moments of childbirth.
"This scholarship means so much to me, as it allows me to be able to focus more on my studies rather than needing to worry about financial burdens," said Jenna. "Receiving this scholarship also has shown me how important support is to believe in yourself, because the more you do that, the more people will see your potential."
