2nd grade closed out their Module 1 of Arts and Letters with a trip to the Museum of Arts and Science. They had the opportunity to do a STEAM Activity about the moon and learned some amazing new facts about it in addition to a fun art project creating bubble art for the surface of the moon. They also visited the planetarium to deepen their understanding of how the earth, moon and sun all work together. Their final stop was the Discovery House with so many different hands-on explorations of different science, music, and social studies concepts. We even had our Access friends join us for the day which made it even better!!

Special thanks to our nutrition team for the fun carnival themed sack lunches and Transportation for getting us there and back!

Here 2nd grade students were participating in a Socratic Seminar during the Arts and Letters lesson. They were answering the question “How does seasonal change affect nature and people?”
