The Jones County School System is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of one of our Mattie Wells students. Our hearts are with the student’s family, friends, classmates, teachers, and all those impacted by this heartbreaking loss.

Counseling and support services will be available for students and staff on Monday as our school community grieves together.

We ask that everyone keep those affected in their thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Meet this month’s 3rd Grade G.O.A.T.S! Students in third grade have been working hard and discussing what it means to persevere when faced with challenges and how to set goals in order to grow. These students were recognized as either a Math Magician or a Reading Rockstar for their consistent effort, positive attitude, and risk taking inside the classroom. Your third grade teachers are so proud of you! A special thank you to DQ of Gray for sponsoring a surprise lunch for these outstanding students.
