Mrs. Beck’s Kindergarten class had so much fun yesterday by using their five senses! They did some apple tasting, listened to an apple story, painted with apples, and made apple pies in a cup to enjoy for a snack 🍎 What a great way to kick off Arts and Letters and learning to graph our favorite apple foods!

📚 Universal Screeners are underway!

Through August 28, all JCSS K–3 students will complete the mCLASS Reading Universal Screener, helping teachers identify strengths, needs, and the best ways to support each reader. 💜💛

We want to give a HUGE shout out to our faculty and staff at DFE! They overcame circumstances today that to some would seem impossible. They managed to not only get our students home safely, but also made them feel safe and loved all at the same time. From our amazing office staff answering calls, to our green team members in the heat, to our teachers who took care of our students, to our paras who made sure kids got to where they needed to go, to our lunch staff for making grab and go lunches on the fly, and finally our custodians who made sure our school was s**c and span for our students when they come in on Monday morning. We see you, and we are so thankful for you! It was a great day to be a Dames Ferry Dragon! Have a wonderful weekend! You earned it!
