Remember our Scholastic Book Fair? Well, thanks to our amazing preschool families, we earned Scholastic Dollars to put right back into our school! 💙

One of the best parts of hosting a book fair is knowing that every purchase helps us create more opportunities for our little learners.

We were able to use our Scholastic Dollars to purchase all of the goodies you see below and a large addition to our gymnasium that hasn’t quite arrived yet. 👀

These additions will help us encourage early literacy, spark curiosity, inspire imagination, and make learning even more exciting for our students.

When you support our school, you're investing directly in the children who fill our classrooms. As the director of GSCP, I am making it my priority to show you exactly how. 🥹

Thank you for helping us continue to grow, learn, and ROAR together! 🦁

🌿 Little Feet, BIG Development! 👣

Did you know that something as simple as a sensory walk can have a BIG impact on early childhood development? 🦁

These sensory walks are more than just a fun activity. They're an opportunity for our little learners to:

🧠 Strengthen cognitive skills through curiosity, discovery, and problem-solving.

💛 Practice emotional regulation through calming, intentional movement.

👣 Improve balance and coordination while strengthening gross motor skills.

🌼 Build confidence and independence as they explore the world around them.

✨ Practice mindfulness by slowing down and connecting with their senses.

During these early years, children's brains are making incredible connections, and hands-on sensory experiences help support that development!

The suspect has been located and arrested. There is no active threat to the community. Schools will be released from secure status shortly. Thank you!

On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, law enforcement was made aware of a vague threat made on social media. The threat was not directed at any specific school or school district. Out of an abundance of caution, the School District of Washington has placed schools on a SECURE status. School operation has not been disrupted.

You may notice an increased presence of law enforcement today, as we assist in an investigation into the threat. We take threats against children seriously and are committed to keeping our schools safe. We have officers at every school while the district is on secure status.

Everyday I’m thankful to work alongside such amazing teachers. There is a patience and grace required to work in these classrooms that is often overlooked and undervalued. With all of the change that this preschool has endured, these teachers are the reason it remained steadfast.

If you have a moment, comment and let them know how much you love and appreciate the work they put in for our children daily. 🫶🏼

Our students had a visitor today from the Franklin County Health Department who talked to them about the importance of washing their hands! Miss Andrea sang a song, read a book, talked to the kids, and passed out activity sheets.

As we move into the cooler months, it’s important to reiterate to our little ones how they can keep themselves and their friends safe from germs! 🦠
