👟 Samaritan's Feet and Highlands Church are providing FREE new shoes and socks for local students at their back-to-school giveaway tomorrow.

📅 Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026
⏰ Time: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
📍 Location: Gravette Middle School Cafeteria

Pre-K through eighth grade students and their older siblings can receive a new pair of shoes, socks, and a Hope Tote with supplies. Children must be present to receive their items. Families who registered in advance have secured spots starting at 10:00 AM. A walk-up session is available from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM where remaining shoes will be distributed first come, first served while supplies last.

📱 Classroom-to-home communication for the 2026-2027 school year is moving into the Gravette Schools app, replacing Remind across all district schools. Families can now find classroom messages, school news, and event calendars all in one place.

Teachers and principals will use the Gravette Schools app to message families directly for the new school year. Current app users will receive a prompt to update when opening the app, while new families can download it to get ready for the upcoming school year. Class rosters will be finalized in the system by Open House on August 6, 2026, allowing teacher messages to reach parents soon after. Once you connect through the new app, you can remove the Remind app from your phone.

🎺 Gravette Lions Band members, prepare for an exciting week of focused practice at this year's annual band camp. This event sets the stage to build skills, march in rhythm, and sharpen up for an exceptional performance season.

⏰ Time: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
📍 Location: Gravette High School Band Room

The band will practice marching formations outside during the cooler morning hours before moving indoors for music rehearsals after lunch. Make sure to bring your instruments and plenty of water for each day of training. Pack your sunscreen and wear lace-up athletic shoes to stay comfortable throughout the outdoor field rehearsals.
