Becky is just one of the many talented teachers instructing at our newly renovated community dance studios at the Grass Valley Museum & Cultural Center!

Nevada Union Dance is excited to expand beyond the high school campus with two beautiful new studios and the launch of our expanded year-round program, Nevada Union Dance Community.

With classes and performance opportunities for children, teens, adults, and seniors, these studios create even more opportunities to bring dance into our community while directly supporting the Nevada Union High School Dance Program.

We’re excited about this new chapter for NU Dance and we hope you’ll come dance with us!

✨ MEET YOUR TAP INSTRUCTOR: BECKY BROWNING ✨

We’re thrilled to welcome Becky Browning to the NU Dance faculty as the instructor of our new weekly Open Level Tap class!

Becky has been dancing and involved in musical theatre since the age of nine. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre and brings experience in dance, professional theatre, film, voice-over work, and arts education.

An educator since 2012, Becky spent much of her teaching career at Lyman Gilmore Middle School, where she transformed a single drama class into a thriving musical theatre program serving nearly one-third of the school’s students. She currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Nevada Union High School, helps oversee NU’s Visual and Performing Arts programs, and serves on the California Educational Theatre Association Board.

Becky loves creating a fun, welcoming, and encouraging environment where students can build confidence, develop new skills, and experience the joy of performing. Whether you’re new to tap or ready to return to the dance floor, come make some noise and share in Becky’s lifelong love of dance and musical theatre! 👞🎶
