CA FFA STATE CONFERENCE RECAP 🌾💙
⭐️ The biggest congratulations to our very own Faith Escoto for getting elected to become the 2026-2027 ! We cannot be more proud of her efforts and know she will represent all of her peers to the highest honor.
⭐️ NJUHSD’s very own Luke Browning for winning State Star Administrator! We are so fortunate to have Mr. Browning, and cannot be more grateful for all he does for our district!
Congratulations to all our amazing FFA students at Nevada Union and Bear River for their participation in this year’s CA FFA State Conference! We are so proud 🌾💙

Faith Aleila Escoto, a senior at Bear River High, has been involved in CTE for four years through FFA while also managing her own photography business.
She expresses what CTE has given her for the future, “CTE gave me the soft skills and confidence to build an extracurricular schedule that reflected my interests. Having a learning disability made abstract subjects harder in my core classes, but CTE helped me learn hands-on skills like photography, which kick-started my business. My SAE project also inspired me to create a platform advocating for agriculture and breaking the stigma around who can support the industry. CTE made me feel like I was truly learning at school and prepared me for my future.”

Bear River’s Theater Tech program has been hard at work these past few weeks! 🎭
From moving set pieces for band performances to building props and sets for the upcoming production of CLUE with the Pro Drama Program, our crew has stayed busy behind the scenes.
They’ve also been teaching first-year production students the basics of light programming and design—helping the next generation shine. 💡

BR Photography Department! 📸✨
Students have been exploring leading lines, the rule of thirds, portraiture, and lighting. All while expressing their unique visions through a lens. Each photograph reflects creativity, intention, and a growing understanding of how composition and light work together to tell a story. 🎞️💡
