Silver Springs high school recently hosted their Panther Pride Culinary Cafe, a big step for their brand-new CTE pathway 👩🍳💜
Under the guidance of chef Emily, students prepared delicious baked goods to be sold — including orchard peach scones made from school-grown peaches 🍑
The program is focused on farm to fork learning, and is dedicated to teaching students where their food comes from.
“We are incredibly proud of what our students have accomplished in such a short time,” said Chef Emily.
“This cafe brings together so much of what we are learning: culinary skills, hospitality, teamwork, and Farm to Fork connection.
Most importantly, it gives our students an opportunity to share their work and show our community what they are capable of.”
