GVCS has successfully renewed their EL Education Credential, marking ten years of recognized excellence grounded in a deep commitment to purposeful challenge through adventure and service.

At the center of their academic community is fieldwork that connects environmental stewardship with rigorous academic learning. Students aren’t just learning about the world; they’re contributing to it.

As one student shared, “We come here so that kids experience purposeful challenge, and mostly that's about kids having to work together to accomplish a task.”

The EL Education School Credential recognizes schools demonstrating strong results across Mastery of Knowledge and Skills, Character, and High-Quality Student Work. It’s earned through years of coaching, reflection, and clear evidence of student impact.

Alright, it’s that time of year again. We’re giving out FREE GoodTimes decks for STRAIGHT A’s at the end of the school year. This is the home stretch! Same deal as always. Local schools only, up through 12th grade. If your school doesn’t do letter grades, we accept what ever the equivalence is to straight A’s. You must bring in YOUR current skateboard when claiming your deck. If you don’t have one, no problem, we’ll help you pick out and purchase all the necessary parts to get you on your way. And of course, you must bring in your current report card. Let’s finish off the school year strong, and roll into Summer with a fresh, well earned skateboard!

The Coyote Jamboree is right around the corner on May 9 from 4-7:30 at Alta St/Mautino Park and we are super excited for this school-wide community event! Here's what we have lined up for you and your family to enjoy:

• Live music from the Breakovers, the Boho Orchestra, Big Whoop and the Ultrasonics

• A Scavenger Hunt

• Arts and Crafts

• Climbing Wall
