We just finished helping Carin build her first kitchen. It came out great, we had lots of fun and of course couldn’t have done it without the help of our hard working crew, Willie and Annie.

Lots of new work this year. Been very busy on the lathe making some very large hollow forms and bowls and some new little vases. Come by and check out the work and maybe sign up for a class. Turning is lots of fun and we can get you started. Stop by at studio #7

When hurricane Sandy hit Connecticut in 2012 it took out one of Sarah’s oak trees. Her husband milled the lumber and when they moved to California they brought the boards with them. Last week she put it to good use and built this beautiful little table in the shop. Trimmed in Wenge and sanded to perfection as Sarah always does. Nice job.

We feel so fortunate to live in and be part of such beautiful an interesting community. Grass Valley is a cute little town year round but Christmas is extra special.

I have been very cautiously hollowing out this rotten cherry log the past few days. Looks like it’s gonna make it. More to come later.
In a recent class Canada sent two of their finest to build a beautiful cherry coffee table. We all had a great time and they even had a little time to make a couple maple leaf coasters. A great week.
