📣George Long Elementary Warrior Students & Parents📣

The 2026 Warrior Run is officially underway! Get ready for another exciting event filled with teamwork, friendly competition, prizes & a day of fun activities that keep our bodies moving 🏃🏼🏅🏃🏾‍♀️

Keep an eye out this week for your child to bring home flyers with more details. The Warrior Run is the GLEPTO's biggest fundraiser of the year and supports transportation costs for field trips, assemblies, teacher grants and many other special events/activities.

In addition to a tiered system of great individual prizes, the top Upper EL & Lower EL earners will win lunch with their principle and a stroll with Dr. Angel. We will also be rewarding the top earning class of each grade with a pizza party 🍕! ANNNND if our amazing community can help us reach our goals, our entire elementary will be rewarded with special group prizes. If we are able to raise $10,000, the students will get to have a popcorn and PJ party 🍿! And if we go above and beyond and reach $15,000, the PTO will be renting bounce houses for the playground for a special recess day! We have until September 24th to make it happen!

This Friday night is our first monthly movie night! Join us in the elementary cafeteria for Monsters University. Concessions will be available and you can also pre order full pizzas using the QR code on the flyer. Pre orders will close Thursday night at 7pm. Hope to see everyone there for a fun family night!
