Three weeks ago this young man's mom reached out to me about math tutoring. Three weeks in the results speak for themselves. At A+ Math Tutoring we work on math skills. But more importantly I work on building your child's confidence in the classroom. I look forward to hearing from you!

Good afternoon,

I just wanted to take a whole minute to describe how PROUD I am of *******!!! The past two weeks we have been using Math in Science to calculate the average speed and velocity. I want you to know that ******** has done phenomenal at taking his time, showing his work using the strategies we've learned, and answering every single question correctly! I truly am proud of ********* for working so hard these last two weeks and actually knowing the content! These last two weeks has shown the talent that ******** has in learning something new and trying his hardest at it. Please take a look at the Velocity and Average Speed Quiz in Skyward, because the grade shows his effort! I will be bringing a treat for our students next week but wanted to make sure you knew how impressed and proud I am. Please celebrate him this weekend :)

We see mathematical expressions on social media all the time. They're sometimes a fun way to test our skills and debate with others about who is right. Having a solid understanding of how to simplify expressions in late elementary to early middle school will create stronger Algebra students. How is your PEMDAS? Let's see if you can get this one right and I'll post the answer with all of the steps tomorrow! Have you kids try it out and see where they're at. This is solid 6th grade level expression.
