I have failed. A lot. And I am so proud of my face hitting the floor because every time I knew I was pushing myself further. How you view failure is a growth point. Everyday I ask my kids: How did you fail today? What did you learn? What will you change? Believe In You, you are doing amazing!

My babies are sick. Im making homemade chicken noodle soup and also making chicken salad for lunch next week. Cook once, eat many times is the best way for us solo parents to get healthy food into our loves. PS: my chicken salad is soooo good! I add just a T of mayo (I use avocado oil mayo) then greek plain yogurt and red grapes cut into quarters with the regular celery, salt and pepper. For my chicken soup I use the stock I made from Thanksgiving. I made a ton and froze it for times like this.

Restore. Restoring our energy is a very personal thing. More and more Im learning to listen when I am run down...not forcing myself to push on but sitting on my couch with a book, my dog, a glass of wine and my electric fireplace. Remember that your mind, your body and your spirit need the opportunity to power down. Spend a moment considering, what would you do if no one and nothing else pulled at your time and attention.

What would your day look like if you did everything YOU want to do for one whole day? You then moved slowly through each thing on the WANT list to savor, soak up, and feel each breath in that activity? All day asking yourself what is on my WANT to do list. I did this all day today and I am feeling rested, happy and satisfied. My trusted doggo and I hiked over 7 miles, shared a puppacino (he sucks at the sharing part), napped, read a book, and are currently sitting on my couch in front of a fire while one of us has a glass of wine. Try it, all day, I dare you! 🐶 🌵 ❤️

I never dreamed this would be my family photo. I also never imagined after 5 years of sole parenting we would be able to hang a photo with our personal mottos on our wall. We took down the art made by my sweet broken babies and replaced it with our strength captured by as the tears of gratitude flowed. We have come so far. We have learned so much. We have more scars than open wounds. Better every day isnt easy but its our choice. I know you will be ok. I know you will find joy. I know you will see love, raw, true and pure. All we have lost will come back tenfold.

Early morning flight (left my house at 4am 🥱) Brought oatmeal in a baggie and got a cup of HOT water. Add oatmeal and Im sticking w my healing foods...Remember to tell yourself good job when you stick to your decision to make health a priority. Life will ALWAYS happen! ✈️

Mom life be like living in my minivan. Running kiddo B to dr appt, kiddo M to lacrosse practice, taking calls, running a biz while piloting freeways. I make easy bowl dinners to grab n go-like this soo good Bibimbop with plant based ground meat, shredded carrots, shredded cucumbers, kimchi, eggs over rice. LMK if you want the recipe friend!
