This is a place where you can see a little bit of what I do with music and our much loved fur kids Then came the puppy and re-entry into the dog show arena.
I live in Granville township with my husband, 2 sons, 7 dogs and 4 cats. The house is full to bursting with love, laughter, music and fur...lots and lots of fur. I have a strong drive to teach anything to anyone who wants to learn something. I have a ton of information that comes with a lot of life experience...that's a nice way to say I'm over 50. I began teaching piano lessons when I was in high
school for a little extra pocket money. I went off to college and got a degree in music education with a lifetime teaching certificate from the state of Missouri. I began substituting in schools with the intention of looking for full time work as a classroom teacher. I decided that what I saw in classrooms didn't fit my style of teaching, so I started teaching privately and had a thriving studio for 14 years. This allowed me to stay at home with our children, both two legged and four, during the days and teach in the evenings. We moved to Ohio and I retired from the private lesson business and concentrated of being mom for about a year. Long story short, the boys grew and graduated, and the puppies continued to accumulate and accelerate in their show careers. Ultimately, I have finished several champions of my own and other people's dogs. One of the pinnacles was our trip to Westminster Kennel Club show In NYC in 2013, (a trip we plan to repeat this year). While doing that I still kept my hand in the music arena by helping with music in the churches and working with Granville school music programs as a substitute teacher until 2010. I've done several hours of course work in music education at the Newark campus of OSU and hold a 4.0 GPA there.
