Join us Saturday, December 5th from 2-4pm for the final GSVA Student Artist Exhibition!! We are excited to open up the studio for one last time to celebrate our young artists, their supportive families, and all the amazing work they created over the last session. Free and open to the public!

I just finished teaching the last class at GSVA. As I sit here on the orange couch, looking around this incredible space, I feel so much gratitude and sadness all at the same time. GSVA has been an important journey in my life, full of joy and meaning. The relationships I have built with these young artists and their families mean more to me than they know. In the end, all I can do is say thank you.

Dear Student, Parent, Artist and Partner,

It is with a heavy heart that we, the GSVA leadership, must announce the closure of Granville Studio of Visual Arts at the end of 2015. As you may know, we are a 501c3 charity that relies heavily on consistent private donations, community grants and enrollment fees to cover the costs of our administrative, art education and community outreach programs. Although our enrollment remained consistent, unfortunately our long-term donation commitments, partnerships and grant funds are below what is required to sustain GSVA long-term.

We are so very proud of the contributions we have made within the lives of young artists in Licking County and the State of Ohio. We have been so inspired by the imagination and creative courage of thousands of children and adults that have partnered with us over the years.

We believe that the amazing experiences and beautiful artwork created at GSVA will live on as seeds of success for our community’s future.

Our plan is to finish out our fall classes and move forward with our December 5th Student Artist Exhibition, giving our students the amazing art experience that they expect from GSVA.

We greatly appreciate the support you have shown us for the last eight years.
