GXMO Ohio is an affordable way to get the most out of your education for practical radiography. X-ray is a great solution to make yourself more marketable.
My name is Brady Meeds and I am a radiologic technologist that provides an affordable way to make yourself more marketable to the medical community. Diagnostic imaging provides a critical component in properly diagnosing patients, a component that I take very seriously. There are three requirements that must be completed before earning GXMO certification. The first is to take a didactic classroom
course so that you can be exposed to all the science behind X-ray to give you a better understanding of how it is produced, how it effects people, and how to control it. The second step is the clinical modalities. These are anatomy and positioning courses that give the specific skills necessary to position an area of the body so that the viewing physician can make a determination about the patient's condition. The final step is to take and pass the GXMO certification exam. The didactic classes that I teach are offered through Ohio Business College in Hilliard. They are scheduled quarterly. You can reach out to the school at www.ohiobusinesscollege.edu
The clinical modalities are offered independently from the school. These courses are offered only on Saturday mornings from 9am-3pm. I offer all clinical modalities to include extremities, chest/abdomen, spine (chiropractic), skull/sinus, and podiatric foot and ankle. Bone density is also available but requires special accommodations and scheduling due to course requirements. The current calendar can be requested by emailing David Heilman, the director of Ohio Business College, at [email protected] or by emailing me directly at [email protected]
The Ohio Department of Health shared some great news that we currently hold a 75% pass rate for the certification exams for GXMO. The state average is currently 49%. That is a number that we are very proud of and it's a testament to the passion we instill in our students and the pride that they carry to the exams themselves.
