Kicking off the new year with a from senior Caroline Moore! 💌🤗

“When the second semester of my freshman year came along, I was unsure about going through recruitment and whether being a part of a sorority was what I wanted or if it was for me. I felt nervous and uncertain about the process, but a friend convinced me to sign up, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made at Denison. I know it’s cliché, but when I stepped into the DG house, I immediately felt calm. I had amazing conversations with several sophomores and juniors, and everyone was so welcoming. I felt comfortable being myself and sharing sides of myself that I wouldn’t have normally. Each night, I returned with growing excitement, knowing this was the kind of community I wanted to be part of.
One of the most impactful aspects of DG has been my incredible DG family. My bond with my big, Sarah, has been such a meaningful part of my Denison experience. From the moment we sat down on bid day and bonded over our love for Maggie Rogers, she made me feel welcomed and supported. She helped me break out of my shell and truly feel like I belonged in DG. Sarah was always there to encourage me, listen, and share advice, and her kindness and guidance left a lasting impression on me. Saying goodbye to her before I went abroad was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do because she had become such an important part of my life. Getting my little, Reilly, was just as exciting—it felt like my chance to grow our family and continue that special bond we all share. My DG family has been so much more than just a part of the sorority—it’s given me lifelong friendships, helped me grow as a person, and made me feel like I truly belong.“
