It is with heavy hearts across our Grants High crew that we say farewell to a truly legendary soul, Paula Papponi.
Aye… she wasn’t just a teacher, she was a captain of minds, steering generations of Pirates toward brighter horizons. With wisdom sharper than any cutlass and a heart bigger than the open sea, she inspired, challenged, and believed in every one of her crew.
From the classroom to the stage, she brought stories to life, guiding students through adventures in learning and even leading them to competitions far beyond our shores.
She leaves behind a legacy richer than any treasure chest… one built on knowledge, creativity, laughter, and the kind of kindness that never fades.
Though she has set sail beyond our sight, her spirit will forever echo through the halls of Grants High… in every lesson taught, every story told, and every Pirate who dares to dream big.

Your watch may be over, but your voyage lives on in all of us.
