✨🎄 The magic is beginning… 🎄✨

Congratulations to the incredible cast of Stillpoint Productions’ 36th Annual Nutcracker Ballet! 🩰❄️

Rehearsals are officially underway, and you can already feel the excitement building. The studios are filling with music, familiar choreography is coming back to life, new roles are being learned, friendships are forming, and the hard work has begun.

For 36 years, dancers and families have come together to make this beloved Grants Pass holiday tradition something truly special. Each new cast gets the opportunity to add their own little piece to that history—and we are so excited to see what this year’s cast bring to the stage.

To our cast: Congratulations! There are plenty of rehearsals, long days, costume fittings, backstage moments, laughs, and probably a little bit of chaos ahead. 😉 But there is also something pretty amazing about watching all of those individual pieces slowly come together to create the magic audiences see on stage.

The work has started. The excitement is brewing. And before we know it, we’ll be hearing that familiar music from backstage as the curtain rises. ❤️

Here’s to Stillpoint Productions’ 36th Nutcracker season. Let the magic begin! ✨🐭🎄🩰

FEATURE SOLO ANNOUNCEMENT

We are beyond honored to share that Wes Veldink .rogue.prince will be taking the stage again as a featured soloist in our upcoming DANCE VARIATIONS show.

Since growing up in Grants Pass — where he trained, assisted, and later opened the studio alongside SODC Director, Karen Daggett Austin — to performing on Star Search in the 90s…
To co-choreographing for Paula Abdul…
To being a body double for Michael Jackson and choreographing for Alicia Keys’ Set The World on Fire tour…
To teaching and choreographing across the globe including at the prestigious Jacob’s Pillow under Maria Torres…

And now — he’s HERE. Back in the Rogue Valley. Pouring that same excellence, artistry, and experience into SODC.

Wes brings not only an international resume, but an unmatched depth of storytelling, musicality, and intention to every piece he creates. When he steps on stage, it isn’t just technique — it’s legacy. It’s lived experience. It’s artistry refined over decades.

This solo will be something special. Emotional. Powerful. Unforgettable.

If you’ve ever wanted to witness world-class artistry right here in Southern Oregon — this is your moment.

Come support the dancers.
Come witness the excellence.
Come see him shine on our stage again.
