Our students put their culinary skills to the test yesterday. They were assigned the task to make a perfect, fully loaded omelette breakfast. They excelled at this task and really got into the "Art" of cooking. They were very detail oriented through the whole process of the cook and delivered BEAUTIFUL omelettes, they also demonstrated great presentations of plating skills.

Yesterday our students performed the Art of Gifting. We brainstormed as a group on different ways we can provide a gift of kindness to others for FREE! We decided to go to our local Bi-Mart and assist customers to their cars and help return their carts once they were done shopping. Spreading kindness to others and paying it forward. It was nice to see the smiles we put on people’s faces for just wanting to lend a hand. Kindness matters and we are always looking to spread it in anyway we possibly can!

We invited our friends from NVHS to join us for “a day in the life at JPTC”. The students from NV that joined us are potential candidates to join our program in the next year or two. We gave the students a tour of the facility and they were able to join us in a ‘Home Cooking w/ Jeannie’ seminar on making homemade pizzas with a side salad. Needless to say everyone was happy with their final product! It was a great day at JPTC!

We were fortunate today to participate in a volunteer work experience for the first time in 2 years!! We are thankful for our partners Josephine County Food Bank for allowing us to come down and allow us to obtain some valuable work experience. We learned some important work skills such as teamwork, efficiency, communication and quality control! Thanks again to JoCo Food bank, We can’t wait to come back!!

Here is a dad who created created a YouTube channel called, "Dad, how do I?" where he posts videos of common tasks you might ask your dad for help with, so that anyone can use his videos as a resource.

It's fairly new but he is adding short clips every day.
Check it out!

Deb led a wonderful and creative lesson teaching our students the art of innovation...

In under 30 minutes she made a breakfast, lunch, and dinner plate with all the major food groups by turning leftovers into cleaver meals.

She only got 1 picture before her family ate most of them but here it is. LOL! 🤣

The original TV Dinner...

In Jeannie's signature pioneer spirit, our staff and students were taught how to prepare a foil dinner, buried in coals, and easy to cleanup. 🤠
