142 Years Strong: Golden Rule Lodge No. 78 Celebrated a Milestone
​America recently marked its historic 250th anniversary, and right on the heels of that national milestone, Golden Rule Lodge No. 78 gathered to celebrate a massive legacy of its own: 142 years of continuous service.
​When the lodge first planted its flag in 1884, regional boundaries were shifting, and Golden Rule No. 78 became the bedrock for the newly formed Josephine County. While neighboring Jackson County saw the rise of strong lodges in Jacksonville, Ashland, and Medford, Golden Rule stood tall as the dedicated, independent force for its own community. Nearly a century and a half later, many of those historic neighboring chapters faded, but Golden Rule No. 78 remained firmly rooted—the absolute "OG" of Josephine County.
​To honor nearly a century and a half of fraternal history, members and guests came together for a fantastic birthday celebration filled with great festivities, camaraderie, and plenty of hamburgers. It was a wonderful opportunity to look back on a proud legacy while strengthening the bonds that keep the lodge moving forward.
​From 1884 to the present day, Golden Rule No. 78 kept its boots on the ground, serving the community with dedication. We were loud, we were proud, and we remain honored to carry this historic torch into the future.
​Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate 142 years of brotherhood and service. Here is to the next chapter!

🎂 Celebrating Our Birthday on July 18th! 🎂
​Did you know that we are the oldest fraternal organization in Josephine County?
​This Saturday, July 18th, we are celebrating another year of history, fellowship, and service to our community! For generations, the Oddfellows have been dedicated to visiting the sick, relieving the distressed, burying the dead, and educating the orphan. We are so proud of our deep roots right here in Josephine County, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has walked through our doors, volunteered alongside us, and supported our mission over the years.
​Here’s to honoring our rich history and continuing to build a stronger, more supportive community together!

🍝 Lasagna Night at the Lodge! 🍝
​Hey everyone! This Saturday at 4:00 PM, we’re serving up lasagna at the Odd Fellows Lodge (101 SE 8th Street).
​Full disclosure: It was fresh about a month ago before hitting the freezer, but it’s going straight from the microwave to your plate and it'll hit the spot.
​Come on down, enjoy some odd fellowship, and have a great time!
​⚠️ Note: If you’re going to complain about the chef (the microwave) or just be a stick in the mud, stay home. We don’t need you there. For everyone else who appreciates a zero-effort, high-reward dinner, see you Saturday!

ODOT has decided to put in new ridiculous crosswalks... from The Little Bear to the green trash can is about 25 ft they have an approach to the crosswalk that's 25 ft away... or from the green trash can to the little bear depending on how you look at the photos... the approach to the crosswalk starts at our rentals front door so now they're going to be having to step up off of a ramp it seems
