❤️Home made treats 🍦🍧
The children harvested our school blackberries and made homemade blackberry ice cream! They used 3 ingredients! Heavy cream, honey, blackberries & created a delicious summer treat:) 💕🍦✨🪻🌱🌲💐

💕At Bohemian we value all life… including spiders! 🕷️ The teachers and children caught a jumping spider for our temporary class pet. We researched what they ate and cared for it and learned about jumping spiders for a few days before we released it into our school garden to eat our garden pests. The children named our spider Lucas, and colored pictures of jumping spiders along with reading additional literature about the species 🥰🦟🌲✨🪻🌱

Bohemian School House Children spend their days, learning, building friendships in a loving environment while freely berry picking, harvesting fruits and vegetables from our school garden, collecting bugs and nature treasures and learning through play everyday. 🥰🙏💐🪻🌱

Emergent Curriculum 🥰✨🌲🐛🦟💕
The children found a beautiful golden chrysalis. We collect the specimen and added it to our school bug collector. The children waited to see what kind of butterfly would emerge from our golden chrysalis.
One fine day, it emerged! We look to find our beautiful butterfly to find a special surprise! It’s not a butterfly! The teachers and children quickly use the internet to positively identify our mystery creature. It turns out that we hatched a parasitic wasp! Naturally, we dive into learning about the parasitic wasp by watching some videos about how they enter the caterpillar and use it as a host. We spent some additional time researching, drawing our experiences and writing the new words they learned through the process! The children were so engaged. What a cool learning experience for everyone! 🐛🦟💕✨🌲

Crystal & rock Unit 🪨🔥🧫
The children learned about different types of rocks and how they are formed.
They did a group experiment using different materials to see which crystals grew the best! 💕 🌲⛰️🌋🛘

Teacher Sierra went to a local farm and picked our school Logan berries. ♥️🌱

🙏🌲I’d like to give a huge shout out to Sarah Everitt Photography! Sarah had spent a couple weeks planning and taking pictures of our special days, and special people to show the wonder and magic of Bohemian School House.
She was able to beautifully document our family garden day, take amazing professional pictures of the teachers, get personalized and thoughtful photos of our amazing team that shows our true essence of a nature based learning environment, as well as plan and execute a picture day for the whole school.
We have been so busy lately, it’s been challenging to pick just a few photos, so I’m putting them all in to show her beautiful work.
We are so impressed by her beautiful photography and love, care and flexibility in her photography process. We all Highly recommend booking a session with her asap! She’s amazing for ANY and ALL photography!!!
