What better way to kick off a new school year than to DIVE right into what it means to RISE ABOVE!

As our Madrona staff returned to work, Principal Lovell put our teamwork—and our aim!—to the test. Teams worked together to build structures and then took turns slinging divers to knock them down. Once a team completed the challenge, they didn't just celebrate their success—they jumped in to encourage, support, and coach the other teams until everyone reached the goal. And just when we thought we were finished… it was time to aim those divers for the tub!

Through all the building, launching, missing, trying again, cheering, laughing, and helping one another, Principal Lovell brought it all back to what guides us every day at Madrona: Resilience, Integrity, Success, and Empathy.

We experienced firsthand what we ask of our students—to keep trying when something is hard, do our part, work toward success, and lift others up along the way.

There was plenty of laughter (and a few divers that went WAY off course!), but underneath all the fun was a pretty great reminder:
We don't RISE ABOVE alone.We RISE together!
